Hi all-

We just noticed a self storage client has started using emojis in their GBP Q&As, Business Descriptions and Posts. Not seeing it on their business names, so that's a good thing.

There shouldn't be a problem with emoji use in Posts per Joy's article. As far as what we can see, GBP Guidelines don't explicitly state not to use emojis in Q&As and Business Descriptions, so is it OK for the client to be adding emojis?

Client states they have been seeing more clicks and traffic after emoji addition, but wouldn't that traffic be conversions from the Knowledge Panel only? We don't see how emoji addition would directly influence SEO ranking/conversions other than adding them to Posts.

Wow I hadn't thought of or seen emojis in Q&A or Description (or review responses or posts) before, but I'm going to look into that. I like emojis because they definitely are eye catching
