I am working with a client who has a brand new business - Bourbon Barrel Inn Bed & Breakfast - and new website: https://bourbonbarrelbnb.com/, which launched 2 months ago. The website has had 3 pages indexed so far, and doesn't come up in the first 5 SERPs for a branded search. The GBP does come up for a branded search, but the URL was "not approved" with a UTM tracking string, so I resubmitted it without the tracking string. It's now been rejected on appeal. I'm not sure where to go from here. I submitted another appeal today. Does anyone have any advice on how to get this poor guy's website URL approved?

I usually see this when a website is blocking crawling via robots.txt or a "meta noindex" tag, but that does not appear to be the case here.

The next thing I would check is malware, but you look all clear there as well:

The NEXT thing I would do is try to submit the edit with an owner account instead of just a manager account. I have seen some edits not go through until an owner makes them.

I would also check your major citations like Facebook, LinkedIn, BBB, TripAdvisor, Yelp to make sure they have the site listed. Google may be checking these sites to validate the submission.

I just suggested an edit with my Local Guide account to try to add the website, and it was immediately "not accepted". Odd.

Makes me wonder about the possible history of the domain.

I would contact support and see if they can help you with this: https://support.google.com/business/gethelp?sjid=2783398390267570071-NC

Thank you Darren! I didn't think about checking the domain history, that's an idea. I've got my second Support request in as of this morning.

One thing I wonder about is that they are in Louisville, KY, where every other business has "bourbon" in the name, including other B&Bs/inns and hospitality/travel-adjacent businesses. They're not marked duplicate. It's just something I've had swirling in my mind since this delightful situation began.

Thanks again!
