Where is this new section coming from? "Units available for rent"

Hello!

I help manage multifamily apartments. There has been a new section popping up in the last couple of months called "Units Available for Rent". Sometimes it's in the SERP sometimes it's at the bottom of the GBP. We have a few apartment listing companies offering to do it for a price per month. They say they have a specific partnership with Google to do it. I'd much prefer to do it ourselves, I'm not a fan of things popping up on our GMP that we don't have direct control over.

Does anyone know where/how to do this? Is this only possible through the "partnership" with Google? Is there a way I can do this myself? Is there a way to get this partnership? I've looked far and wide through the API/Support pages and everything else with no luck. Any other info on where this section is coming from or how to do it would be greatly appreciated!

It started showing up back in January: Google Search Units Available For Rent Local Panel

According to Dan Buchy, who discovered it, it was pulling data from Apartment List - More than 5 Million Apartments for Rent, but in your case, it's telling you right there where Google is pulling the data from. That's more than info than we usually get in these cases!
