I have always loved ranking puzzles and I came across a good one today that I wanted to share.

Keyword: Dentist that accepts Cigna Insurance
Search Location: 06614 (zip code in CT, USA)

I'm specifically asking about this listing which has a one-box: Connecticut Young Dentist Network · 1825 Barnum Ave, Stratford, CT 06614

It's an unverified listing with no website and I find these to be the most intriguing to analyze because you can sometimes get insights into factors that step outside of the traditional SEO done on a website.

When I search for the business name, the organic results show in 2nd place PDF for Cigna Dentists Directory, but actually, that business name is not in the directory, so the algorithm is making a strange connection between Cigna's PDF and this business, presumably as part of Cigna.

I've likewise encountered (not often) very curious findings like this, usually involving a business with no website but has been around many, many years but has citation info on very prominent/authoritative sites.

As of today, the profile seems to have vanished entirely, so theorizing is something of a moot exercise.
