Can anyone confirm if Yelp charges all digital listings platforms like Birdeye, Rio, etc. $8/mo/listing for like an API or similar connected solution?

We're being told that this would be a cost that the platform would have to pass through to us if we wanted to have an integration with Yelp.

On a related note: if anyone has a proven method of getting Yelp listings added/changed/removed, please share! Thanks!

Can confirm that Yelp charges platforms WAY more for listings management via API than any other site on the internet and listings platform have to bake that into their total price or charge it as an add-on fee.

We manage Yelp via community edits to add, edit, and remove listings. In other words, just pretending to be a regular Yelp user and suggesting an edit to a listing. Works decently well, and no fees.

I have a client who has 8 locations that need to have a name change because they've been through a minor brand update (plus multiple other corrections). One of their locations was unclaimed, so we were able to just claim that and then make all the needed updates.

For the remaining locations, I'm wondering if we could go about this by creating new profiles with the updated name, then submitting a duplicate report to Yelp via @whitespark's front end method? None of the old profiles have user reviews or images. What are the risks to that approach?

If you have access to the profiles, you can update them. You can use suggest an edit.

@keyserholiday I do have access to the all the profiles from an admin account, but I can only change photos, amenities, and "From this business" sections. Yelp has locked admin edits to NAP, categories, and hours and requires changes to be submitted to their support team.

Not sure how long they've been locked like this – possibly a few years? We just took on the client, and they had paid Yelp for managment and/or advertising back in the day.

Would you just go through the Yelp contact route for these changes? This will be a first for me, so I'm not sure what the fastest way to change will be.
