Yelp listings waiting for moderators to approve

Hi all,

I have created Yelp listings on behalf of clients over the last few months and all those listings apparently 'won’t appear on Yelp until Yelp moderators approve your business'.

The listings have been like this for around 3 months, and I am completely unable to contact anybody from Yelp to fix this. The phone number I get displayed is dead, and emails never get responded too.

Is this a common length of time to wait on Yelp, as it used to be a lot quicker?

Has anybody else had/or experiencing the same issue, or knows of a way to get listings approved?
The listings are completely filled out, with images etc, so can't see it being lack of info.

The only way to contact Yelp support is through this number: (877) 767-9357

It worked for me last week.

The most common reasons for rejection include keyword stuffing in the business name or offering B2B services. Recently, I was informed that including the category in the business name can also cause issues.

Unfortunately that is the number I've been trying. Just says it's not possible to connect.

Are you calling from UK? Have you tried using the exit code? You should dial the following:

00 1 (877) 767-9357

It works for me from another country.

Hey, did you ever get approved? I've got several listings that have been waiting months for approval and still nothing.

Hi, yes they did get approved but it took around 4 months.

They don't appear to have a team in the UK so the support is not very good to be honest. Annoyingly they told me the listings I had created had probably passed the verification time, so asked me to create the listings again...then all the listings approved and I'm still trying to remove the duplicates now. Nightmare.

I did mange to speak to somebody on 00 1 (877) 767-9357. I would say if you can get through tell them the listings have not been approved and if they can be escalated to somebody that can assist businesses in the UK, but the team I was put through to were in Canada.
