Thanks for the info on this Joy! Seems like it'll be one big winner and everyone else will have to rely more on LSA's - Which really suck for dental BTW...
I had seen some rumors but never triggered it myself... I also haven't been able to replicate the SERP result again. I'm flabbergasted as to how a new business (In our case dental practice) can stand a chance if this will be the new normal??? Anyone else seeing theses SERPs? If so, any idea what...
Out of curiosity, have you made any recent edits to the landing page(s) in question? And reset published dates (if using Wordpress) and also requested an index via Search Console?
Or have the landing pages remained pretty static as of recent?
We've absolutely been seeing ranking fluctuations with client sites/competitors. More so on the organic side than the GBP side of things. However, we've seen many client competitors moving up/down in map pack also. It's been extremely tough to pinpoint why... Most that benefited didn't appear to...
We're tracking all URL's. The software we're using for those screenshots is Agency Analytics and it will track the entire domain + provide screengrabs of the results. And we can set the zip code for SERPs.
This particular client has multiple offices, so we set up the site with specific landing...
Did OP say it was GBP or organic? @Foureyes - It sounded like you were mentioning organic listings, not local/GBP listing correct?
If so, I've been seeing this like crazy across a few sites. Specifically one's that we've been making some significant improvements to over the last several weeks...
I can tell you that the OKC area is highly competitive and most dental offices are doing SEO. It was always a jockeying of positions between about 20-40 dental offices actually doing SEO, gaming GBP names, refreshing websites, etc. etc. And then post Feb. Algo update, it's been a completely...
Did you ever get verified? We eventually got a video recording to process for the client I mentioned above. Was stuck in "processing" for about 3 weeks and then now FINALLY live.
I was able to get to the end of the above loop while the video was in "processing" mode and submitted the support...
We work with some clients in the Oklahoma City area and I was checking some search results this morning. Came across this gem of an oddity: Top 3 organic results had zero optimization in their Title Tags. All 3 also have cookie cutter stock imagery/content, average to poor pagespeed and no...
Gotcha. We utilize Brightlocal and I honestly didn't think about them! We more so use it for local grids to fill in the gaps from Agency Analytics. Agency Analytics is pretty good for organic rankings but (to the best of my knowledge) they only crawl once per week, without a way to change it.
Ah, yeah I was actually wanting to see/track organic results not maps. I kept getting targeted with ads for Search Atlas and signed up for a 7 day free trial which will allow me to track SERP results pretty frequently within that trial period.
Not sure about the rest of their tool but hoping...
I haven't tried Local Falcon yet. I assume they offer automated crawls and you can set the frequency?
I'll check them out and see on the price. It's not a HUGE deal, but I've never seen volatility like this for any dental office we work with. Especially $$ KW + Geo. Would love to see what the...
Anyone have any good recommendations on tracking tools that will track volatility of a local keyword (Organic, NOT Maps/GBP)? Our KW tracking software only pulls results once per week and I'd be curious to see daily results (or even more frequent).
We've got a dental client in Philadelphia who...
Hey Colan,
Would love to know what the end of the workflow looks like, or where that workflow starts. Here is what I see, and it is pretty much a dead end/loop on repeat for a client of ours who cannot get verified no matter what we do. It's been in limbo for about 2 months now trying to verify...
Thanks again for taking a look! A few quick notes on your items:
Pagespeed - We run Wordpress + Elementor which aren't the fastest, however some FlyingPress magic tends to do the trick. We typically install after indexing as I don't want any resources blocked for the initial crawls (maybe...
