Currently, I', using Google Maps on my phone to try and take the GBP verification video. I click on my business, then "See Business Profile", then "Get Verified" then "Business Video", then when I click start recording it takes me back to the "Get Verified" page again?

Anyone know what's going on here? I have location services on and tried a different phone. Any help is much appreciated!
 
If you try to use the standard Get Help form for a verification issue, it will direct you to the verification status tool.

The verification status tool feels like a dead end, but it's not! The verification status tool is where you should go for help with verification issues!

Google made this change sometime in 2024. There was no announcement. They don't mention it in any of the support documentation. And in the only place they do mention it—in the verification status tool itself—the message is buried.

So, if you're having trouble verifying your Google Business Profile and need to reach the support team:
  • Go to the verification status tool
  • Make sure you're logged in with the right account
  • Select the business in question
  • Click through to the "end" of the workflow
  • Look for a "Contact us" link to connect with the Google Business Profile support team

Would love to know what the end of the workflow looks like, or where that workflow starts. Here is what I see, and it is pretty much a dead end/loop on repeat for a client of ours who cannot get verified no matter what we do. It's been in limbo for about 2 months now trying to verify via video, that keeps getting rejected without explanation...

I'm in the same situation with a handful of profiles. We have verified the new listings with either an email/code or by recorded video. It's been more than 3 weeks and the listings are still "Processing". However, when I use the method as stated above, Google tells me these listings are not verified. Here are the screen caps that I am presented with.

What do you do when it's been way more than 5 days?

Did you ever get verified? We eventually got a video recording to process for the client I mentioned above. Was stuck in "processing" for about 3 weeks and then now FINALLY live.

I was able to get to the end of the above loop while the video was in "processing" mode and submitted the support ticket... Only to receive the same automated reply that is always of ZERO help from a no-reply email...

I did however send some feedback via that little link/button on the bottom right of the help section titled "Send feedback about our help section." I included screengrabs, case # etc. within that feedback form hoping that it would prompt a human review. The GBP was activated from "processing" about 2-3 days later. Probably a coincidence after a 3 week verification...
