I have been concerned of having a negative impact on the business's NAP by changing the biz phone number for tracking. I will have to try it with a few clients.
Thank you, Joy!!
@JoyHawkins - so are you saying the GMB generates 70% more Calls than what is shown in Insights? Is there a way to track calls from Maps seperate from Business Profile or Lucky 3-pack?
Getting retailers to put more energy into the GMB and recogonize its importance it difficult to get through to...
@JoyHawkins "Google My Business Insights are like impressions", yup that is a given.
What are your thoughts about the GMB accuracy for Click-to-Calls, Directions, & Click-To-Websites?
Thank you.
Thanks for the feedback. Client says they contacted FB a while ago and FB said there wasn't anything they could do. They also went into Settings and set posts to be approved first. Although I saw they received another customer post and it was not approved.
I have a fairly large retail client who is getting slammed on Facebook by an x-employee. Even consumers who have left a positiove review are getting slammed by this same user, who uses an alias name on FB. Any recommendations on how to stop this person on Facebook?
Thanks for any help.
John
@Jeannie Thanks. I am already aware the products are not listed on GMaps. I am trying some testing by adding popular, major Brands with SKUs to see the effect on the local business, which is difficult to measure, but I have some ideas. Also, to see how G views that business through the products...
Is there a way to upload a CSV or spreadsheet of product SKUs with images to a GMB product catalog? Adding one at a time is a royal pain. I am hoping by now Google added that feature, although searching I could not find it. Crossing my fingers. :)
Thank you,
John
@Martin Briggs Good point.. I have had my head in websites ands product schemas all day. At the same time the GMB service areas are pretty straight forward what you can enter...
Enter your service area information. You can set your service area based on the cities, postal codes, or other areas...
@Ampere - Where are you planning to use this? Are you thinking of stuffing all 15 services areas in one page? I would not recommend that.
Adding postal code doesn't hurt but from an local SEO point of view I have always found City, State works when used correctly.
If it is okay to post URL, I really like this tool to test schema markups than we dynamically add code to the websites to match... https://technicalseo.com/seo-tools/schema-markup-generator/
@JoyHawkins That is eggsackly what I have always believed and done. I think there is a lot of confusion out there about how to use the Schema markup correctly. Your answer makes sense too me. Thanks!
Thank you!
What do you do when a store has multiple locations? We have only have been marking up each separate location page. Also, we use the product schema on the product pages so there is no way I would add localBusiness schema to those pages.
Would you place the "localbusiness schema" inside the <head> tags for every page on your website? I only use it on the location page, but I noticed a competitor has it on every page of their websites.
Thanks,
Hopefully, I convey this question correctly. :-)
Under "Insights" the graph at the top on the right shows a circle graph... one of the 3 search results types is [Branded] … "Customers who find your listing searching for a brand related to your business."
I have noticed at certain times in the...
