Google still not able to control the fake reviews, why?

@keyserholiday. I agree with everything you said. I personally have never seen KW in reviews have a ranking component. I have seen a company lose all their reviews in a competitive niche and not loose any rankings though.

Is it possible to ensure that the a Local Search ad will only show up in the SERPs and not in google maps ?

I am new to paid ads. I was against them for the longest time till the vicinity update. I would like to only advertise in the map section not in paid search. I am google guaranteed for LSA and awhile back, I was fortunate to be fast and acquire the google guaranteed map badge for $50...

Google still not able to control the fake reviews, why?

I would not focus on the reviews as not a ranking factor. The hvac receiving those fake reviews will look terrible to their clients when all those get removed by a google sweep. Every 6 months or so during a google update google will sweep the fake reviews and companies involved...

How do referral rings make listings at fake addresses?

That’s why it’s important to monitor your niche. If uncle joe 3 states over gets a postcard it’s not hard to verify. There’s no direct solution for paying a stranger to receive a postcard. But, it’s easy to edit the map in seconds while they waste many hours and money setting up...

Established business looking to expand in surrounding areas

Your city pages will rank surprisingly well since your already ranking at the top in search. I would still only use one GBP unless your service area is expanding 50 miles or greater in radius.

How do you start ranking above a competitor??

Simplify your question as SEO encyclopedias would be needed to answer this. . Example: How to evaluate the weight of backlinks this is fun to answer and DA is not relevant and easily manipulated. Do not buy backlinks best case scenario you will lose money and learn how to use your...

NEW Find Local Link Opportunities with ZipSprout’s FREE Local Sponsorship Finder!

I love it. This was a great find for local Seo. Backlinks are getting diluted with new ranking factors but, local links still pack a huge ranking punch.

Outranked by businesses with no sites, few reviews, scant backlink profiles... Why?

Organic search ranking factors like backlinks have no impact on GBP rankings. Reviews are not a direct ranking factor at least not after 20-30 depending on niche. They do help dramatically with CTR. Map ranking offsite factors including user signals dramatically impact map...

GMB Business Name Ranking Factor 2021 Latest

Great advice Colan. I would recommend looking to use a KW in your business name that none of your competitors are using. When a searcher inputs this KW you’ll be on top of map section for a distance probably far greater than your actual service area.
