Hi everybody!

We have a client with several locations and a GBP for each location. Now, we would like to run a different LSA for each location as well. Are there any best practices we should follow?

Thanks!

Hi Steve! Here are a few general suggestions:
  • Keep detailed notes on the new LSA account customer IDs (CID's) and which corresponding GBPs they are attached to as you set them up.
  • If you're setting up a lot of new accounts consider working on just a few at a time so you and the client don't get overwhelmed with all the moving parts.
  • Consider setting up a separate Gmail account for each new LSA account and create a forwarding rule so you and the client are sent a copy of any emails that are sent to it. This can help keep you in the loop of background check or Google LSA emails being sent regarding the new account setup. (H/T to Tom Waddington for this suggestion)
  • Make sure the accounts don't have overlapping location...

  • Make sure the accounts don't have overlapping location targeting if they have the same categories (this is against Google's guidelines)
