Branded searches appear differently in the map pack

We did two branded searches for two different practices, one appears as a "places map pack" and the other appears as a "branded map pack" (screenshots attached). Any insight on why they're different? both searches were done in an incognito window. We did notice that one of them had more branded search results vs the other (in the past 12 months), so we're thinking that could play a role in why one is appearing as a branded map pack and the other is appearing as places. If you have any insight on this, it would be helpful. Thank you.

Google is a bit of a crapshoot for branded queries. In Quebec, some generic searches (for banks and pharmacies) used to be shown as branded!
