Can I use a Storage Unit for GMB Business Address in 2025

I see a lot of businsses in my area have a storage unit for business address. Recently, google started asking about area where you meet clients etc.

Question: in 2025 has anybody started a new business with address using a storage unit?

Since Google has switched everyone over to video verification, there is no way to create a GBM using a storage unit. In the off chance that you can trigger a phone verification, those GBPs are getting suspended within a few days.

It can be depending on what type of business you are running. You will need to hide the address if you don’t have signage or serve customers at your address.

Storage units will typically not work for GBP verification, but I have a SAB client in Jacksonville FFL that just leased a unit with a Uhaul storage facility that now offers legit office space along with the storage unit. It allows for signage, desk, computer and has separate entrance, etc.

Just to second what @Joe Burnich said: I've seen lots of storage places offer office space rentals that will meet Google's requirements. I think it's pretty common these days.
