Can I Use Google Voice for Google My Business Phone Number?

Hey guys, we have a client who has been using his cell phone on his website, email sig, etc. for his main business number.

He has not had his GMB verified yet and does not have a landline for his business.

What is Google's policy for setting up a Google Voice local number that forwards to his cell as the main number for GMB verification?

Just make sure it's a local number.
