(No emails or phone number exists anymore for the listing)

When I'm viewing the listing in google search or on maps it doesn't give me a Own this business link or anything like that to start the retrieving process.

And when I go to https://www.google.com/business to search for the profile it doesn't show up so I can't retrieve it that way either.

The profile is not of any importance at all so I don't mind closing the business profile but I was worried that if I just set it to permanently closed through Google then when I start a new business profile on that same address there might be future complications where the listings find a way to merge or something silly. Just trying to be safe rather than sorry here.

Thanks!

@Dennis - I suspect that the profile is an SAB, right? That would explain why there's no link to claim the business.

If it is an SAB, check out this method for claiming a service area business listing.

Awesome, that worked.

Just curious, would it have been potential trouble in the future if I instead had permanently closed the SAB through suggest an edit and then simply created a new listing? The new listing wouldn't have had the same name in this case as the old one.

That would have been fine, yes. Suggestions to close the old listing can work too. I know people often mention Closed GBPs being prominently visible, but I've found that Google has gotten pretty damn good at hiding them. Like, there was one listing that I was actively trying to view and despite all my effort I couldn't get Google to show me the damn thing.
