I'm new to using Local Search Forum. Pls feel free to direct me to any other relevant threads for me to post this there as well.

Can you confirm if this setup will allow each LSA-GBP link to be location-specific, correctly pull reviews, and provide an admin account (e.g., admin@mybusiness.com) centralized access for managing multiple GBPs and LSAs across different U.S. locations? (For example, with 3 GBPs spread across the U.S. running Local Service Ads in each respective location such as Tampa, FL or Tucson, AZ). Is the below considered "best practice" to achieve what I'm setting out to do?

1. Use Location-Specific Emails for Each GBP Creation: Create unique, location-specific emails (e.g., location-1@mybusiness.com, location-2@mybusiness.com) to create each GBP individually.

2. Use These Location-Specific Emails for Each LSA Creation: Use the same location-specific emails to create each LSA, allowing each LSA to connect only to its designated GBP in order to pull the correct Google reviews.

3. Link Each LSA to Its GBP Using Location-Specific Emails: Link each LSA to its corresponding GBP using the location-specific email, ensuring that reviews transfer correctly from each GBP to its respective LSA.

4. Centralize Access with a “Master Email”: Add admin@mybusiness.com as an additional owner on each GBP and an admin on each LSA account, enabling centralized monitoring and management across both GBP platform and LSA platform.

Hey Taylor, welcome to the party!!

Let me see if I can offer some suggestions:
  1. Create/claim and verify each GBP individually, there is no need for location-specific emails relative to each location, but if that's what helps keep you organized better than there is no harm in doing so.
  2. Same answer on the 3 different email accounts, you can use 1, but whatever works best for you. Google will either automatically link each LSA to the respective GBP, or you will have to contact support during the onboarding/verification process to ask them to link it if you notice it's not linked within a couple of days.
    1. Remember to use the exact business names and addresses on the GBPs for the LSA accounts - they need to match exactly.
  3. Google will link them, admin emails have no bearing on linking LSA/GBP accounts.
  4. Great idea to add a backup email, but if you're doing this for a client I'd make sure your client is the Owner of the GBPs, and you are a Manager of each.
    1. Another good idea I've heard when setting up accounts for clients is to set up another email specific to this account/client that you can access (myclientsbusinessnamelsalocation@gmail.com), and make that an admin on the LSA accounts so you can receive notifications during the onboarding process. This helps if your client is not too savvy dealing with these things.
Another good suggestion I've learned is to instruct your client (or a heads-up to you) - during the onboarding/background/verification checks (if appliable given the industry) - to complete ALL sections of the background check. There are some sections people might think don't apply to them, but they need to be acknowledged and terms accepted (see screenshot). You might think the areas marked in red need not apply if you're not in those locations, but they do - make sure all sections are completed to prevent unnecessary delays in going live.
