Does anyone have a guide on how to edit multiple business listings?

I work for an Australian bank and am hoping to edit multiple business listings in one go. i.e Edit URLs to add in tracking codes, update descriptions etc. I read on a Google page that its doable but all articles I read around it are about importing multiple new business listings and none about a step by step guide on editing more than 800 listings at once. I need to understand the risks associated with such edits so I can weigh the costs vs benefits.

Would be amazing if one of you can share an article on this or a case study?
