Error in Google Allows Removal of Primary Owner from Google Business Profile

Google allows the removal of the Primary Owner from a business profile if you have Owner access.

If you are an Owner, you can designate yourself as the Primary Owner and then immediately remove the previous user who had access at that level.

I'm not sure if Google is aware of this possibility. I reported this to Google two years ago, and they still haven't done anything about it.

In my opinion, this is a security risk for business profiles, especially for less savvy owners.

Agreed. I was surprised when I first noticed this as well.

It's literally always been like that so I think it's fairly clear it was always intended to be exactly like that. If you don't want it to be possible, invite managers, not owners. There are no difference between these status except that one can invite and remove users.
