G AI Overview Sourcing old HOO

We have a GBP customer whose HOO are CORRECT on GBP and on G SEARCH. The problem is when you switch to AI Overview the HOO shown are all sourced from some nebulous xls files from 2023. They show the WRONG hours. What on earth is the fix here????

The LLM has got that old data in the system and it's unlikely to get resolved. You can make sure there is nothing indexable anywhere (which could mean trawling through hundreds of directories , reports, invoices, pdfs and anything else and hope at some point in the future the LLM is updated. But I wouldn't hold your breath.

Before you give up on it, expand the sources under that answer and find which page those 2023 hours are actually on. In 15 audits we logged the pages cited in 270 answers from ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini: review sites and directories 103 times, the businesses' own sites 38. A stale number is usually sitting on a page the owner does not control, and Google's source list is right under the overview, so you can see whose page it is and ask them to fix it.
