GBP Business Name - Is “&” a good practice in a business name?

New business want to create business name like that.

Business Name - Luiz Garage Door & Gate Repair

My confusion is --- this " & " symbol is good practice to add in business name?

Here in the UK we have two major retail chains: M&S (Marks & Spencer) and B&Q.

But their brands are well known so can get away with the ampersand.

Not so sure it would work for Luiz.

However, Luiz Garage Door & Gate Repair is not a good business name with or without the ampersand.

What happens if Luiz wants to branch out to do fence repairs or siding repairs or anything else?

Far better to just call the business Luiz Maintenance or whatever. He can then use taglines and marketing material to details the types of maintenance or repairs.
