Hey gang. I have a weird GBP ‘Short name’ issue in the edit profile section.

The ‘not approved’ message doesn’t disappear when clicking ‘OK’ in the 'Short name' field: Screen Shot on 2024-12-12 at 13-20-36.png ... so there isn’t an option to submit a new option (or delete it).

My client doesn’t know who added it or when and is concerned that they don’t know why it was rejected or how to get rid of the notice. Has anyone come across this issue before? I’m trying to gain more insight before reaching out to Google Support.

the only thing you can do is delete it (and sometimes even that breaks you end up with a forever "edit pending" message). I believe that in fact any edit attempt will cause the shortened url to not work anymore.

It's the short name, and since Google depreciated that feature, you can't edit it or create a new name. If she deletes it, she won't be allowed to create a new one.
