I run a construction company with multiple services like bathroom remodeling, kitchen remodeling, and outdoor remodeling. Each service has its own dedicated page, and all of them are also mentioned and linked from the homepage.

My Google Business Profile primary category is Bathroom Remodeler.

For the GBP website link, is it better to point to the homepage or directly to the bathroom remodeling service page? I’ve seen different opinions and want to make sure I’m aligning with what works best for local SEO and conversions.

Would appreciate hearing what’s working for others in similar setups.

The person looking at your GBP is expecting a bathroom remodeler. Which means they really want to go to a website (not webpage) with that service.

I know your business provides other services but that's not what your GBP is promoting.

It's almost as if you need two websites: one for bathroom remodeling and one for building services. Or change your GBP to building services.

Where are you located? Is there lots of competition?

Thank you for your response. Yes, the competition is high. My main concern is how it affects the ranking. Which option would result in a better ranking: linking to the service page or to the home page?

This is not an easy question to answer. Are you asking about ranking or conversions?

For rankings, you need to know which terms generate the highest search volume. You need to look at which primary category shows up the most. Once you do this, next you need to run A/B testing to see which category and if linking to your home page or a service page increases your rankings. Next, you will need to determine if these changes increase or decrease your conversions or other rankings.
