GBP website UTM falling off when clicked

The tracking UTM of my GBP falls off the website URL when the website button is clicked on the GBP. Here is what I've tried so far to resolve the issue:

• checked redirects that may be contributing
• ensured the URL featured on the GBP is the same as the one verified in GSC
• re-place the UTM
• submitted 3 support tickets to Google Support -- all resulted in support saying they don't understand the issue or no response
• followed up on Google Support tickets and requested the issue be escalated - no response here either so far
  

Has anyone else run across this? Any suggestions as to what else I can try?

How do you mean it "falls off the website URL"?

The URL is set up with the GMT in the profile, but when it is clicked the URL doesn't have the UTM anymore.
