Hi all,

I've recently been given the opportunity to help out a local multi-function firm (accountants/lawyers etc) and have been given access to their GBP.

Alot of small wins straight out of the gate which I'm in the process of getting up to speed however, I was reading all their reviews and have noticed 2x 1-star reviews from a year ago posted in a different language and when translated they talk about things relating to app development.

Clearly these reviews have been accidently posted on the wrong business. The firm has replied politely asking for clarification if it was accidental, but both reviewers never replied. They also been reported as "Off-topic" however Google hasn't taken any action.

Has anyone dealt with something like this?

Have you reported them via the review management tool yet? https://support.google.com/business/workflow/9945796

I would start there and report them both as off topic. If Google does not remove them, the tool gives you an option to appeal. At that point, you can better plead your case and point out exactly why they are off topic.

You should also flag the review in both Google Maps and your GBP dashboard. Ask as many high-level Google accounts as possible to flag it in Maps too. Combining both methods gives you the best shot at a fast removal.
