We have an upcoming client with a situation I'm unfamiliar with handling.

He's a part of a family practice with:
  • 2 doctors, 1 dentist
  • They have their own building; no suites, not sharing with any other medical professionals
So the business handles both medical and dental needs.

What's the best way to promote the practice and practitioners on GMB in this case? Our focus is on the dentist, but we will be managing the GMB for the practice as well and we don't want to harm the doctors.

Is there a way to have the practice listing show up as a dental office if the person is looking for a dentist, and a doctor's office if they're looking for a doctor?

As far as the practitioner listing goes, my boss would prefer having the practice name with the dentist's name, and we've seen this done with medical practitioners (e.g. "Dr. Name - University Hospitals").

Thoughts? Recommendations?

I'd set the practice GMB to "Dentist" and add "Doctor" as a secondary category. (If the dental services are the primary)

Then I would set-up three practitioner profiles (2 docs + 1 dentist) and make sure they have unique primary categories and ideally unique phone numbers.

Can you share the specific types of doctors that they are?

I wouldn't say that "dentist" is the primary category; he's just the client who wants to be the focus of the marketing. We'll be updating the GMB for the practice and for each of the three practitioners, but after that, the rest of what we'll be doing will be promoting the dentist.

The client is a DDS, while the family members are a doctor of internal medicine and a specialist in pediatrics, respectively.

It's a small office, and, to my knowledge, there's only one phone number.
