I am trying to verify my Google Business Profile using live video verification but facing an issue.

My office is located on the 5th floor of Zainab Tower (near Amanah Mall), Lahore, Pakistan. Since my business is inside a building, there is no direct street sign available at my exact location.

For the verification video, I followed these steps:

Started recording from Amanah Mall (a well-known landmark on the main road)

Showed the entrance of Zainab Tower

Took the elevator to the 5th floor

Showed my office entrance, signage, and workspace

However, my video was slightly over 5 minutes. Could this cause a rejection? Also, since a street sign is not available, what alternative proof can I provide to ensure successful verification?

Would appreciate any guidance on this.

Thanks!

Is there a menu board or electronic board in the lobby or outside your office suite? This is where I would start your video. The video length should be no more than 70 seconds.
1-Make sure your 'location' is turned on when making the video, 2-Show your postal address and suite number signage, 3-Walk into the office and show proof of management (unlock a door). 4-End the video on an electric bill or some official paper with the business name and postal address. 5-Upload. (If you get an error, the video is too long - try again).

While we've found that having a street sign is ideal, according to https://support.google.com/business/answer/14271705?hl=en (link also provided by fisicx above), best practice would be to find the closest businesses on your floor or adjoining floor that have Verified GBPs and use those as the "nearby businesses" to fulfill the requirement.
  • Show the location of your business: Capture the official street and number signs, nearby businesses, recognizable landmarks, or the area around your business that shows your business is at the correct Google Maps location listed in your Business Profile.

Did the video actually upload successfully, then was rejected? Or did the video just fail to upload?
Depending on which happened, that will lead you down a different route of solutions.
That said, yes, a 5-minute video is too long. Google strongly prefers and states 1-2 minutes. However, we've heard of them accepting up to 5 minutes for unique cases.

Also, Darren Shaw, over at Whitespark, has a fantastic video with tips too.
