Hello everyone,

I'm genuinely not sure if this is a common issue, or am I missing something.

I have a friend who has a boat tour agency Aloha Ocean Tours

When I search for my location on Google maps, I am seeing the location but when I login into my GBP profile, it says I need to get it verified

I checked with PlePer and it still shows my business is verified.

My question is, am I seeing 2 different profiles and do I need to request claim to the one which is live.

Very much confused on next steps

This is "normal". Google can ask for a revalidation of an existing GBP. As long as a GBP isn't marked "suspended", "deactivated" or "duplicate", it's still going to be visible in Maps.

Thanks a lot for clarifying my query.

Instead of video verification, can we ask for other alternative method through support? Or we just need to verify using video verification

In theory yes, but only after multiple video validation bugged failures. Mike Blumenthal and Phil Rozek both had articles recently about how Google insist on prioritizing this verification despite the bugginess.

I think people wouldn't be upset if it weren't so damn dysfunctional.
