I've noticed today a business opted into Call History, is showing a "Google Number" in their phone numbers drop down on mobile. Image attached. Just an FYI.
So I had several members of my team try and replicate this. None of them could. From what we found, I think only devices/IPs that Google knows manage the business listing would be able to see it. I also think you have to be in the USA and it's only on mobile-Chrome. One of my colleagues was able to trigger this on another listing that he manages that has the call tracking feature enabled (but not your example).
That's my working theory thusfar based on what I'm seeing anyway.
I know when this first launched, we saw complaints where the numbers were being routed to the wrong business. Once the businesses turned it off, the issue stopped.
