Google Search Console - Do We Need A New Property For Non-WWW

Hi,

I have a website that has been redesigned and its changed from Example Domain to Example Domain (and 301 redirected).

The Google Search Console Property is for Example Domain is it best to set up a new property for Example Domain (or get domain verified in search console)?

Or will all the data for the new site (Example Domain) be there in the original search console property (Example Domain) ?

That is a good question! When you verify a domain, GSC will automatically verify any child properties including subdomains. However, in your case the only property you currently have is the www subdomain which doesn't include the non-www domain (or any other subdomains). So, I'd suggest adding the non-www property (i.e. the domain) and you'll be required to verify it. You'll also want to set the non-www property as your preferred property, if it doesn't automatically do this for you. Just to be safe, you'll also probably want to submit your sitemap using https://domain.ext path.
