That is a good question! When you verify a domain, GSC will automatically verify any child properties including subdomains. However, in your case the only property you currently have is the www subdomain which doesn't include the non-www domain (or any other subdomains). So, I'd suggest adding the non-www property (i.e. the domain) and you'll be required to verify it. You'll also want to set the non-www property as your preferred property, if it doesn't automatically do this for you. Just to be safe, you'll also probably want to submit your sitemap using https://domain.ext path.
