Google Verification by Postcard?? What Year Is This?

It was a blast from the past this morning when I received the postcard option for Google verification for a business in Florida, US. I haven't come across Google sending postcards for verification in quite some time, at least 2 years, especially for US businesses.

When is the last time you saw the postcard option offered? Specifically US or Canada.

Any guesses why this one was eligible for it? Anything unique about the location or business history?

Honestly, no idea. The profile was verified and claimed using an email the client lost access to, and we had to go through the request ownership form, so maybe that has something to do with it. Or maybe this is a fluke, and Google will ask for another round of verification after we enter the PIN.

Yep, an established GBP that was once verified. I am betting Google will ask for another type of verification too once we input the pin.

I am curious to see what happens. They should have recieved the pin postcard by now.
