How Do I Change Main Email Associated with GBP Organization?

Hey, I might do a rebrand for my agency and I was wondering if anyone knows how we can change the main email associated with our Google Business Profile Organization that manages all of our clients? Is there anything else I need to look out for or change when doing the rebrand and changing domains?

Transfer primary ownership of an organization​

To transfer primary ownership of an organization:

1. Sign in to Business Profile Manager.
2. Select the organization from the drop-down menu.
3. Click Users.
4. Under "Organization", click Manage users.
5. Locate the user you want to transfer ownership to.
6. Click the dropdown menu next to the user's name and choose Primary Owner.
7. Click Transfer to confirm that you want to make this user the primary owner.
8. Click Done.

Does this work to migrate away from a gmail account/email? following a stupid incident a while ago (no one knows how it even happened because the person that caused it wasn't even from our department) our main account got assigned to a gmail address and the higher ups dealing with it never managed to get it back to our original email.
