How Do I get the GMB for a 53 DA website to show up in the Google Carousel

This website: St. George's School | Private Boarding - Preparatory School - New England has a 53 DA. GMB ranking is dominant in the state but we have not been able to land in the carousel for boarding schools new england, college prep schools new england etc. What can we do to the website, Google page or off site linking to get into the carousel?

Maybe worth getting more 'New England' references in to your Wikipedia page? Fort me over here, Google is prioritising Wikipedia over your GMB content in the Knowledge Graph.

Also, I can see that you have pointed your GMB backlink to St Georges School | Private Coed Boarding School in New England, USA which pushes 'New England'. Are you confident that that is a good idea? I just wonder if you'd be better linking to the organisational home page (consistently with the NAP in your schema markup) and adding reference to New England on the home page?

I've not worked on schools carousels, but found this 2018 article: How The Google Carousel Influences Your School's Search Results which has some suggestions. The article also implies that Google use niche.com to at least influence the carousel. Looking at The Top 50 Boarding Schools in New England for 2019 the ranking in that list seems pretty close to that in the carousel I'm seeing.

• Link to your home page from GMB, not an interior page (good job spotting that @Kevin Holdridge)
• Mention New England on your home page
