How to Update New Business Address in Existing GMB listing

Recently, We have changed business address and updated on Our website. Now, we are looking to update our address in Existing GMB listing.

Here my questions:
1.Should I modify & update our new business address in existing GMB listing?
2.Should I create a new business listing for a new address in GMB? and mark as closed our old business address in the GMB.

Anyone can advise on best practices. Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Ditto #1. Also be prepared to have to re-verify the listing before the update goes live. Sometimes you do, and sometimes you don't. I still haven't figured out the pattern of when an address change triggers a re verification.

Just a tip: If you have your website verified in search console (webmaster tools) under the same email that you use to manage your GMB listing, you may get lucky with an automatic verification - as long as that domain is linked on the GMB listing.
