Anyone else noticing an increase in deleted/hidden reviews?

I track when reviews are removed from customer locations and among ~40 locations there are usually only1 or 2 removed each month.

The past weekend were 10 removals, all different locations and date ranges from 2020 through 2026.

We checked five US based customer with multiple locations (looked at data in the past 6-8 weeks), ranging from dozens to hundreds of locations, from those five customers, one is seeing more review deletions, two are seeing almost no review deletions (which is in lines with the 4-6 months prior), and two are seeing significantly less in december january than the six months prior.

@Brian - TGL - so my short answer based on this short investigation is "no, we are not seeing a big spike".
Yes! I think @GMBapi.com tracks this. Do you guys have a chart that shows the last few months?

Has anyone noticed whether the reviews are actually being removed? We're using Whitespark’s review export tool, and even though Google is showing a lower review count, the individual reviews still appear to be there. This has happened before, so I’m wondering if the review count is just glitching right now.

This wasn't related to just the review count number itself going down, it was specific reviews that previously existed that were removed from the GBP.
