Client has clickable business address on their Instagram profile. When on iPhone you are presented to open in Google Maps or Apple Maps. Clicking on the Apple Maps link brings the user to a bad PIN location for the address. The interesting thing is when searching for the business in the Apple Maps app it shows the correct location of the PIN. Their Facebook page address information is correct and shows the right PIN location.

I did see that Facebook has joined the OpenStreetMap dot org. I am not sure if OSM is related to the issue but I can not verify the street address through their search functionality. Any other source data that may be influencing this PIN location issue?

Solution
This is interesting! I don't know any other sources that could be giving this pin location error.
I agree in contacting Apple Business Connect support. They have been very helpful lately and anytime I run into any Apple Maps issues they have been able to address it pretty quick. I've found the easiest way to connect with them is through support within the ABC dashboard. Please update us if you are able to get this addressed, I'm very curious.
Good Luck!

No idea how to fix this but I am going to bump this for you in case someone else does! My best advice would be to contact Instagram support and ask them to look into it

Solution
@brentnau - I don't have a solution but can offer what would be my first troubleshooting step.

- When you click the Instagram link that takes you to the Apple Maps, you land on a listing with a bad pin.
- When you search on Apple Maps, you find a listing with the correct pin.

Maybe those aren't the same listing. Perhaps Apple Maps has two listings, one with a bad pin.

Is that helpful?

I typically use the USPS "Look Up A Zip Code" tool to verify the business address format. USPS would not return a valid result for the business address. After further investigation the client does not receive mail at their location as it is a brand new multi-unit business complex without a mailbox. So the post office holds their mail.

I have sent a few notes to Apple Map Support without any responses.
