Is there evidence that Google uses the hidden physical address as a proximity signal for Service Area Businesses (SABs)?

We have noticed using map pin rank tracking tools that often times our SABs rank better in the area in which our hidden physical address used to set up the GBP is located. Has anyone seen anything similar or tested this themselves?

it is how Google ranks SAB profiles, service areas are not used to rank your profile in terms of proximity. That's why Google asks for the address when verifying SABs.
