I like the idea, but I think it's missing something. I think Rand should have clarified this tactic wouldn't be applicable to many local directories, because of the business type. I think getting a local citation from a news source, local reviewer, or other local entity is definitely possible for online-only businesses; not debating that. I just think it should have been clarified that an online-only business may not be able to obtain a yellow page or yelp type citation. This seems more about linked or unlinked mentions on a website, not necessarily a structured citation on a directory. That's the only part I would add to the topic.
