Hey All,

I was just wondering if anyone could provide me with some insights, I have been doing some local SEO for some clients for some time.

I of course do the normal stuff like on page, tech issues, etc but what other aspects could I be looking into?

Citations I know are a big element is everyone still manually submitting these?

You are correct the big element is doing manual links. Google SEO likes local links, if you are a local bigness. Also, focus on adding new sites for back links. I, also, use my Facebook Business Page for my local customers.

Hi Kevin,

A good place to get ideas is the Local Search Ranking Factors study - Local Search Ranking Factors 2013 - Local SEO and How to Rank in Google - Moz We like to scan this document every few weeks. It always sparks some ideas.

Phil Rozek did a great post that covers a list of items that you can do for clients on a monthly basis - Local SEO Victory in 5 Minutes a Day: Doable Baby Steps | LocalVisibilitySystem.com

Always make sure to do three main things as Mike B points out in this video - http://localsearchforum.catalystema...my-business-hangout-detangling-da-google.html

  1. NAP Audit
  2. Maps Audit
  3. Duplicate Listing Audit

I'm sure others will weigh-in with more.

We are still doing manual citation building. We also give our clients ideas on how to earn reviews especially for their Google MyBusiness listing and yelp business profile.

Still building them manually.

Although the biggest factor that is going to move your ranking still seems to be backlinks.
