Location Closing but Have Another Location 10 Minute Apart

Hello everyone,

We have two verified GBPs for the same business, two locations a few miles apart in the same city, offering the same services. One is closing. The closing one has good visibility and reviews. Since the addresses differ, is marking it "moved" better than "permanently closed"? Or is "permanently closed" my only option?

Google won't allow them to merge because they were verified at two different addresses. You need to mark the store as permanently closed.

Thank you for your response! Yes, I am aware that we cannot merge; also, the goal is not that.

As far as I have read online, by suggesting changes (and not making changes directly from the owner dashboard), I can set a label that says "Moved". In a perfect world, I'd rather have the account say Moved and link the website to the other location than mark it as "permanently closed". Just wanted to get more insight on this before I make any changes.

But they didn't move. They are closing.
