Losing access randomly to a big chunk of GBPs

I work for an agency, so we deal with a lot of clients' GBPs - during this month, we randomly access around 40-50 accounts for a specific client, but we didn't receive any emails/notifications saying "you can no longer manage this profile". Has anyone else experienced something similar? I am curious if this was a weird Google issue since our client mentioned that they did NOT remove us from the accounts. Thanks in advance for the help!

yeah the problem is we are owners on some of these so it doesn't make sense

Have you lost control of the account? Has someone else gained access and locked you out?

The thread title seems misleading to me. I think it's not so much the loss of access (about which you are certainly correct) that's confusing them as the lack of any email warning.

If this is the person who posted here, then the email, folders, or GBPs were deleted. You don't get notified when this happens.

Huh, Interesting. We've never ran into that situation at my agency. so I'll have to pass on the information.

Okay, so at first I thought what was happened was the client deleting a folder in their account, but that shouldn't remove already granted access to the GBPs.

And indeed, that's not what you meant, right @keyserholiday ?

You're actually talking about access management to folders via an agency account, not access granted to individual GBPs, am I correct? We've never had a client with an agency account, so that was completely off my radar.

Nope, I meant deleting a folder. Had someone removed people with access to the folder, Google would have sent an email alert. If you delete a folder that stores GBPs, those GBPs get deleted. I have seen this happen on several occasions.

OH. Wow. you mean deleted-deleted? We've run into deletions before (from uninformed account closure and some API disconnects) so we knew those don't generate emails, but I had no idea deleting a folder deletes the GBPs.
