Minor Changes to GBP re: Google's Guidelines...could it affect client's SEO?

Dear Sterling Sky Admins and Local SEO Gurus,

I have two client's with minor issues with their GBP name.

1) Current one is using a special character in their GBP name, for example A + A and same for their logo, however the business name is: A and A.

It's a minor change to make, however, they will not be changing their logo. They've had a GBP for about 5 years.

2) Another client has an " 's " added to the end of his GBP but his company name has no " ' ". Multiple Duplicate GBP's.

For each account I'd like to know what impact these changes would make on their Local SEO.

In most cases both of these are going to be acceptable.

I figured as much Ben and that's what my research confirmed. New question: same client has a duplicate listing. I don't want to delete/remove it. I read another member deleted a duplicate GBP for a client and it affected reviews and seo for the official orginal GBP, so I'd like to avoid that at all costs, as there's not undo option. I read that merging the profiles is probably best. Any downside? Are there any other options? Many thanks, Kevin.

It was a minor edit, it didn't affect their SEO negatively. Thanks.
