Multiple Locations - Shared Toll Free Number

I should know the answer to this question, but my memory is struggling with it.
I have a client with a few locations that share the same toll-free number. I'm assuming it would be best to use the local exchange number for each? Or is sharing a common number okay now?

I would strongly advise using unique phone numbers for each location if possible. Google also suggests this in the guidelines.
