New “Messages” option in GBP dashboard : is this new or a bug?

Hello!

I noticed a new “Messages” option appearing in the Google Business Profile dashboard.

It’s not just on one profile, this appears across several GBP listings, which makes me wonder if Google is rolling out something new or if it’s a temporary UI bug.

Has anyone else seen this ?

wow, talk about google's habit of using confusing terminology. I believe I saw posts about that a while ago. IIRC, it's intended as a replacement for the stupid card carousel.
