Odd new advertisement row showing up on GMB Profile on search

I can try to get more examples if anybody is interested, but a client sent me this screen shot. She started seeing it about a week ago and it is intermittent. It only shows up when she is logged into her Google account. As you can see, it is an Ad in the GMB profile... You'll see that it has a label of "Modern" right before the domain name. She said that sometimes instead of "Modern" it shows "Safe".

Any ideas what this is? It seems like a malformed test rollout of some type. Why would Google want to serve an Ad, for that same business within the GMB Profile? Maybe @JoyHawkins or @Colan Nielsen have some insight?

Thanks Colan! With that additional information, I have a very strong suspicion it may be the franchisor. Not sure what they are thinking running a brand ad on their franchisee's GMB . Will pass this info on to the client and let them tackle it.
