Hi Everyone,

This is my first post on the forums. I looked for posts about ordering content for service business but couldn't find anything. I apologize if this has been answered before.

My question is this: Have you had any luck ordering content for clients' websites? We've used Textbroker and iWriter and have not had reliable results getting quality content (around 300 words per articles). We're mainly asking for content for services pages for carpet cleaners, pressure washers, hvac businesses, etc. The vast majority of our clients are in the United States.

And a follow-up question: Is it possible to get a decent 300-word article for $10?

I appreciate any guidance you can provide. I'm really interested to learn how you generate content for your clients at scale. Thanks for your time!

Hi Jordan

I usually find a freelance copywriter that has experience in that niche - but I'm not building a huge number of pages at scale - and we generally opt for paying a fair rate for a good writer - I think you'll struggle with that budget to be honest.

Good luck - hope you can find someone good that can write you some BANGING content! 🔥

I like Zerys better then TextBroker and it is what we use if we need it, but truth be told, I just hired a content person to build a content team out the end of 2018. Having your own freelancers is just much better for everyone.

I also do want to reply to this:

"Is it possible to get a decent 300-word article for $10?"

This is not legit per word rate. If you want decent writing expect to pay $0.05-$0.07 a word and that goes up a bunch if you want GOOD writing.

Thank you, everyone, for your excellent responses. @Claire Carlile, I'm pursuing the freelance copywriter route now, and it seems very promising. I've had good success finding freelancers in other areas, and I'm hopeful the same process can be applied to the content writing we're looking for.

Thank you!

I'm a conversion specialist on top of being an SEO, so content is extremely important to me. It should matter to you too for your SEO because engagement is a very important signal. I finally settled on Verblio for excellent copy at a good price. $10 is out of the question for me. You get what you pay for, so be careful.
