Hi:

We have a client that has 5-10 separate GBP groups, with a total of maybe 400 GBPs total.

What is the easiest way to put these all into an account the client can access? Is there something like an "Agency Account" that can be used for client access?

As long as the same owner is added to all of the GBPs, they can move them into one folder. With that one folder, you can add any new users.

Does it matter where the groups were originally created, or what e-mail account created them?

Also, is there still any sort of numerical limit for how many profiles can be in one group/account? Didn't it used to be 100 or something?

No, it doesn't matter who created them. Any owner can move them into another folder. There is no limit. I managed a brand with 800 locations in one folder.

Maybe this was "back in the day" but I remember having to start new accounts when we hit 100. Now, I am talking about in like 2019 or 2020.

Am I nuts? This *is* a pre-coffee recolection.

I know Google put a limit of 10 GBPs for brand new email accounts. I know once you hit 100 GBPs, you stop receiving review alert emails. In July 2016, I moved all 347 GBPs into one account. It wouldn’t make sense to limit it to 100 for large brands and franchises.

Out of curiosity, did you make groups out of the 347 to organize them? Or were they just all in one big folder?

I added them to one folder. I create two more folders: one for 'Coming Soon' and one for 'Permanently Closed' locations. It was a clustered mess. They had made each GBP with a different email. They were also sharing login details. It took three weeks to gain access and consolidate all the GBPs on one dashboard.

I bet ... though the concept of 350 profiles in one place seems a little hard to manage, as well.

We typically put all locations into a group, like DR OFFICE -- PHILADELPHIA, DOCTOR OFFICE -- BALTIMORE for the larger clients with many locations.

Is there a downside to doing it this way? We find it much easier to work with.
