@ElizabethRule Have you seen any issues with verifying additional locations that aren't open yet? The instructions say after setting up the GBP for the new location, enter the opening date, and then "verify your business". It says they will show up 90 days prior to opening.
The one I'm working on is a new location in the process of being built out, and they're waiting on signage, etc.
Do you know if they need to reverify once they're open and have their permanent signage up?
If you create and verify the profile prior to opening, you shouldn't have to reverify on the opening date. However, sometimes Google does make a business verify themselves multiple times, so if their system cannot automatically confirm the business exists they might ask you to reverify - which can get triggered if you make any changes to the profile soon after it opens.
To mitigate this from happening, make sure major citations and the brand website are up-to-date with info on this new locations (name, address, phone). Especially make sure sites like BBB.org are up-to-date. If there are online business directories for the state they are in, like the Secretary of State website, make sure the new address is updated/visible on those too. Make it as easy as possible for Google to search and verify this business exists at the new location.
