Hi
I have a question about duplicate site content,
I am willing to change the domain from A to B, In a post case one of host recently did the same, he created 301 redirects from old to new but his new website was in the sandbox for 5 to 6 weeks and he faced massive drop in organic ranking.
So how it will be if I launch new websites with similar content (as old one) so new website will get indexed and once it get indexed I will create 301 from old to new pages. In this case it is possible that any of the sites may face duplicate content penalty.

Thanks

@shripadd there's actually no such thing as a duplicate content penalty.

If Google detects multiple pages with the exact same content what they do is pick the one that they feel is the original, show that in the search results and then they filter all the other versions.
