Removing My GMB listing

Hi

I would like to remove a GMB listing that i setup for my company. The business hasn't moved or closed down i would simply just like to remove it from google search and maps.

What option in GMB do i choose to remove the listing. I don't want someone to google the business name in the future and the listing is there. I gather it does take time to remove the GMB listing.

I know this is a FAQ but i know how GMB is changing all the time.

Hi @Oliver Keates Google won't remove the listing from maps unless it is private or if it isn't eligible based on the quality guidelines.

I just mean that if the listing is eligible to appear on maps and it already exists, Google will not remove it.

Now let's just say you've had the listing for years but it's actually an online-only business then you could have that removed because it doesn't meet the guidelines even though it's existed for years.
