Reviews being removed from "Education" organizations?

A close / reliable contact of mine who works at the corporate level of an educational business just told me that Google told them they are starting to remove reviews from any GMB that's associated with the education space.

Anyone else heard or can confirm this?

To confirm... I am now seeing reviews completely removed from the GMB's of educational institutes

I am seeing that there are reviews for Athens Christian Schools so they weren’t removed.

I have checked several school listings in my area as a well and while I don’t see that the rating is showing, I am able to see old reviews are still visible. That being said, leaving a review will not show up and appears to being filtered out.

Reviews for schools won't show on desktop Knowledge Panels, but they will display through Maps.
